The Rose Galaxy
Oil on Canvas
24 inches x 18 inches
Private Collection
This painting is a commissioned piece and took about a month to complete. I wanted to show movement in the background so I used texture using brush strokes going in the same direction of the swirling galaxies. The larger of the two galaxies shows signs of tidal interactions with the smaller of the two.
The subject of the painting was chosen by the couple who bought the painting. It was completed in April of 2019.
